In 2007 and 2008, there were more deaths in Utah County from prescription drug abuse than from car accidents. This statistic highlights the fact that Utah has higher rates per capita for prescription drug abuse than any other state in the nation.

This blog informs citizens, families and individuals of these dangers and what measures and interventions can be taken to eliminate and prevent current and future abuse within the community.

This initiative is coordinated in conjunction with Lance Madigan and the Utah County Health Department.
